The simplicity of this is beautiful! I love how the sun is just peeking out behind the tulip petals, and also the intense brightness of the colours - the red, blue and green are all wonderfully clean and crisp. It's quite cool how the wispy clouds are almost centred around the petals, in a way.
Sometimes the simplest things are the most beautiful, and I'd say this is the case. The colors are just beautiful — the sky, the leaves, the flower itself, everything. I love how the sun makes the dark shadow on the most of the flower, but the edges are bright-red, it's really awesome. For me, tulips are always associated with hope and optimism, I don't even know why, but when I see them, they always make me think of some good expectations and hopes. This photo makes this quality of tulips even more explicit. It expresses some kind of aspiration, looks like the tulip is reaching for the sun, the light, and happiness. All in all, I love tulips, and this is one of the most beautiful shots of these great flowers I've seen.
This caught my eye for the very reason that it is a simple composition. Sometimes those work best, and this is a great example. I love the composition, the red-green-blue colour, and the light glowing through the tips of the petals. The cloud just above the petals makes it seem as if the are on fire and the cloud is smoke rising from it! Overall, it's entirely pleasing. Congrats!
